Accessing the website

When you access the website, the servers and network infrastructure needed to deliver it process technical connection and access data. Depending on the request and infrastructure, this may include your IP address, the date and time, the requested resource, referrer information, browser and operating-system information, response status, and the amount of data transferred.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to maintain its stability and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interests are the reliable operation of the site, protection against misuse, and investigation of technical or security incidents.

Access data is retained only for as long as it is needed for operation or security and is then deleted or anonymised. Data connected to a specific incident may be retained until that incident has been investigated and any resulting legal claims have expired.

Providing this connection data is technically necessary. Without it, the website cannot be delivered to your device.

Hosting

The website runs publicly on server infrastructure I manage at netcup GmbH and is delivered through Caddy. netcup may receive the technical connection data required to provide the server and network infrastructure.

Contacting me

If you contact me by email or phone, I process the contact details and information you provide in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication concerns a contract or steps before entering into one, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

I delete this data when the matter has been concluded and no further retention is necessary. Statutory retention duties and the preservation of evidence for possible legal claims remain unaffected. Email and telecommunications providers may process the data needed to deliver the communication.

Contacting me is voluntary. Without enough contact information and context, I may not be able to answer your request.

No tracking or external embeds

The website does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or a contact form. It does not set cookies, and its fonts and images are served locally. External services such as GitHub or LinkedIn are linked rather than embedded, so no connection to them is initiated by this website before you follow a link.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have the right to:

• access to the personal data processed about you
• rectification of inaccurate data
• erasure or restriction of processing
• data portability
• object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation

You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for my place of residence is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony.
